About this print:
Ko Hinekauorohia tēnei.

Hinekauorohia was the atua and holder of the sacred waters from all the realms except for Tikitiki-ō-rangi. These waters were used in all tohi ceremony performed at each progression throughout Tane’ journey and to reflect upon what had been completed.
Hinekauorohia allows us to look into the stillness of her reflecting waters to see the past with clarity, gaze at ourselves in the shimmering present, and with a finger-touch, fathom a ruffled glimpse of the future.
